As the exclusive licensed producer of Cor-Tuf Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) in the United States and the world, we are extremely gratified to welcome a firm with years of extensive experience in working with and installing Ultra High Performance Concrete throughout the Northeastern United States. We have a mutual goal of using UHPC to repair the American infrastructure, once and for all. 

UHPC Solutions focuses on innovative infrastructure preservation. We have had occasion to work side-by-side with the knowledgeable and dedicated UHPC Solutions crew of installers and have nothing but admiration for their outstanding work ethic and commitment to the satisfaction of their customers. 

The company has been using UHPC to rehabilitate the deteriorating American infrastructure, particularly bridges. With more than 220,000 bridges in need of repair or replacement (36% of the bridges in the United States!), this is no small feat. By using Cor-Tuf UHPC for bridge rehabilitation and repair, the life of bridges is extended tremendously, as Cor-Tuf UHPC is significantly stronger and more durable than traditional concrete. Cor-Tuf UHPC delivers up to ten times the compressive strength of regular concrete and has a useful life of more than 100 years, compared to 15 to 25 years of traditional concrete. 

The partnership between Cor-Tuf UHPC and UHPC Solutions has the potential to have an even bigger and more lasting impact on the American infrastructure. Unlike conventional UHPC mixes, Cor-Tuf UHPC can be mixed, poured, pumped, and even sprayed using traditional construction equipment and methods. We also just introduced our UHPC mobile batch plant, making it possible to mass produce Cor-Tuf UHPC on the job site with batch tickets. 

Our initial work with UHPC Solutions will focus on concrete overlays, a cost-effective way to repair American bridges. Overlays improve the safety and durability of bridges and deliver a faster ROI than total reconstruction. The vastly superior strength enables Cor-Tuf Overlays to be only one-fourth to one-third the thickness of traditional concrete overlays. Additionally, the vastly superior useful life of Cor-Tuf UHPC makes it the ideal choice for virtually permanent overlay work. The material creates a stronger bond with the subsurface, and it is completely impermeable to salt and road chemicals. Having exceeded 3000 freeze/thaw cycles in the vicious surf of the North Atlantic without damage, environmental degradation is virtually non-existent. Compared to the usual rate at which traditional concrete starts to degrade—after 28 freeze/thaw cycles—this is truly a revolutionary material.
